Cybersoft exhibiting at WSIS in Geneva

Cybersoft wins BSPE Project
Cybersoft won the public tender for the computerization and networking project issued by Birhanena Selam Printing Enterprise (BSPE). BSPE selected Cybersoft as the best company to undertake the current computerization project based on its technical competence and excellent track record.
CEO presents at Bamako 2002
Cybersoft CEO made a presentation at the African Regional Preparatory Conference held in Bamako, Mali, from May 28 to 30, 2002. The CEO shared the experience of Cybersoft discussing the various challenges and achievements of the company. Following this presentation, the CEO was interviewed by Radio Netherlands and was also invited by UNECA to give the presentation for publication in its bulletin.
CODI-II Meeting takes place in Addis Ababa
The second meeting of the Committee on Development Information (CODI-II) was held in Addis Ababa from Sept. 4 to 7, 2001. The meeting at the UNECA hall discussed various issues with focus on harnessing information technology for African development. A large number of papers were presented and related exhibitions run during the four-day conference.
UCIS V.2 implemented at Bahir Dar University
Bahir Dar University purchased Cybersoft’s UCIS (University and College Information System), Version 2, to automate its entire registrar activity. Cybersoft deployed the robust client/server system that fully automates the activities of the registrar and record offices starting from student enrollment all the way to graduation handling registrations, add and drop, grade reports, promotion, graduate class report preparation and transcript generation.
Cybersoft Releases IPIS
Cybersoft successfully deployed an Integrated Planning Information System (IPIS) - the most complex system ever developed and successfully implemented in Ethiopia - on a wide area network connecting different Zones of the Amhara Region with the Bureau of Planning and Economic Development(BoPED) of the Amhara National Regional State (ANRS).
Addis Ababa BoPED to implement IPIS
The Bureau of Planning and Economic Development (BOPED) of the Addis Ababa City Administration signed a contract with Cybersoft on July 6, 2002 for the implementation of the Integrated Regional Planning Information System (IRPIS) project, which involves a customization of IPIS and the design and implementation of the Local Area Network communication infrastructure. The work is scheduled to be completed by November 2001.
Cybersoft presents at Knowledge-Age conference
Cybersoft presented two papers in the international conference entitled " Ethiopia in the Knowledge Age" organized by the British Council and other partners. The conference, one of the largest of its kind, discussed the status of Information and Communication Technology in Ethiopia.
Cybersoft presents EWS at London Conference
Cybersoft made a Presentation of the Conflict Early Warning System (CEWS) at the London Conference Organized by the Forum for Early Warning and Emergency Response (FEWER) and held from January 11 to 12, 2001.
