UCIS V.2 implemented at Bahir Dar University

Bahir Dar University purchased Cybersoft’s University and College Information System (UCIS), Version 2, to automate its entire registrar activity. Cybersoft deployed the robust client/server system that fully automates the activities of the registrar and record offices starting from student enrollment all the way through, taking care of registration, add and drop, grade report preparation, promotion, graduate class report preparation and transcript generation. Version 1 of UCIS has been in use in the Technology Faculty of the Addis Ababa University (AAU) for over two years after having successfully passed a rigorous review and test by a high-level technical committee setup by the University comprising a number of senior staff holding PhDs, and Masters degrees in Computer Science and Engineering. The AAU is currently finalizing the necessary preparations to implement UCIS’s Version 2 throughout the University system.

A number of Universities, including University of Zambia, Arba Minich Institute of Technology in Ethiopia, Defense Engineering College in Ethiopia, Africa Beza College, and the University of Durban in Westville (South Africa) have shown interest in UCIS.
