Cybersoft brings new look to ET Website

Ethiopian Airlines' new website,(http://www.flyethiopian.com), completely redesigned and developed by Cybersoft, was launched at the beginning of July 2003 after passing rigorous testing and following final approval from the Airline’s authorities.

As per the requirements of EAL, the website is fully database driven and equipped with a robust site-searching capability. Content updating is handled by Airline staff with each department provided with an easy-to-use interface to dynamically update the textual and graphic content it is responsible for. The website also provides a seamless integration with the online booking engine used by EAL, which is powered by one of the four major Global Distribution Systems in the airline industry. The development of the online section of the frequent flyer program is in the final stages and it is expected to be launched very soon.

The new website has been developed with the .NET technology which offers the full advantages of object-orientation and which makes deployment very easy compared to its predecessor ASP technology. Cybersoft, started work on the project in December 2002 after winning the public bid hosted by Ethiopian Airlines.
