CODI-II Meeting takes place in Addis Ababa

The second meeting of the Committee on Development Information (CODI-2) was held in Addis Ababa from September 4 to 7, 2001. The meeting discussed various issues on harnessing information technology for African development. A large number of papers were presented and related exhibitions run for four days. Top-level delegates from Cybersoft, the CEO and Director of Marketing, were invited by the UNECA to participate in the meeting where they took an active participated in the discussions.

A number of delegates who saw the demonstration of Cybersoft software at the Cybersoft exhibition stand were highly impressed by the quality of the development-related solutions and admired the high-end capabilities of Cybersoft. Participants from a number of African countries requested further information and demonstration version of IPIS, a comprehensive tool for development policy formulation, planning and monitoring. Delegates were also impressed by UCIS.
