Addis Ababa BoPED to implement IPIS
Cybersoft came out as the only technically qualified company in the bid for the implementation of the Integrated Regional Planning Information System (IRPIS) project for the Bureau of Planning and Economic Development (BOPED) of the Addis Ababa City Administration (AACA). Five companies including Cybersoft participated in the tender and the bid evaluation committee accepted the technical proposal presented by Cybersoft which was judged to be the only satisfactory and feasible solution.
The Bureau signed a contract with Cybersoft on July 6, 2001. The implementation, which involves a customization of IPIS and the design and implementation of the Local Area Network communication infrastructure, is scheduled to be completed by November 2001. It is to be noted that IRPIS requirements are more or less identical to those of IPIS, which was developed for BoPED of the Amhara National Regional State.
